Saskatchewan merchandise exports remained strong in March, totaling $2.73 billion and up 12.9 per cent from March 2011, according to a report released by Statistics Canada today.

Energy products saw an increase of 28.3 per cent over March 2011, while agriculture products increased 30.1 per cent over the same time last year.

In the first three months of 2012, exports were up 17.2 per cent compared to the same time in 2011. This was the second highest percentage increase in Canada.
