A total of 15,513 jobs were posted to the SaskJobs.ca website in April, a 37.6 per cent jump over the same time last year.
Trades, transportation and construction saw the highest year-over-year increase in job vacancies on the site at 76.4 per cent, while oil, gas, mining, and farming were up 74.5 per cent. The majority of the postings were for full-time employment.
Launched last month, the new SaskJobs.ca mobile site had a total of 53,278 visits in April.
In total, the SaskJobs.ca website had 996,565 hits last month, up from the 836,565 hits it received the same time last April.
On May 4, 2012, there are 10,516 employment opportunities posted to the site.
